Multiple projects have drawn me into the esoteric, frequently scary world of information security.
I’ve co-authored a study of CIO and CISO attitudes toward data security in Denmark (with client Trellis), where the prevailing business culture has viewed security as a distant concern and responded passively and reactively — at least until the EU’s General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) came along. I’ve written repeatedly about GDPR (often ghosting for lawyers or corporate security officers).
A couple of other data security-related samples:
- How IoT-Connected Products Simplify Life but Create Nefarious Security Issues (for Autodesk’s online magazine RedShift)
- The Social Engineering Threat: Ducking the Cybercriminal’s Sucker Punch (for HDI’s SupportWorld Magazine)
